Torch IT coding boot camp information
Torch aims to enhance students' job opportunities, future prospects and consultancy skills in Information Technology (IT). Methodology training at Torch will be an eye opener and skill building introducing students to trendy aspects and programming techniques in IT, applications and how these applications are developing to shape the future of business, economy and human life.
In terms of actual applications, Torch will explore multiple domains including financial apps, game industry, ecommerce, marketing and social media applications, service industries and more. Development of real business applications, mobile apps and or games is integral of Torch training methodology. Students will be assisted to work on their own ideas and will be coached to work on ideas given.
Rounds:
The program runs for three rounds per year, Fall, Summer and Spring.
Target:
Mainly graduates of Computer Science and related disciplines. All other majors included.
Duration:
Each round extends for 14 weeks.
Objectives:
Bridge the gap between theoretical education and hands on technical experience.
Accelerate the development of graduates technical skills through mentoring and coaching.
Enrich students with 14 weeks of training experiencing 2 years of hands on expertise.
Enable students to develop ideas and turn them into IT products with business prospects.
Diploma:
Each candidate graduates with a Torch diploma and certificate of attendance.

Entry Requirements: Entry to this course requires a Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science or related discipline including CCE and ITOM. It is also ideal for executives coming from non-Computing related disciplines. Applicants with significant relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
Torch certified students can transfer credits towards the completion of MIT program.
Master of Information Technology, Digital Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Program Goals: To experience hands on practical techniques, develop leadership and managerial skills, understand Digital Transformation projects and work on entrepreneurial theories and trends.
Learning outcomes: Through coursework, students acquire techniques how to plan, build teams and manage the schedule of a complex project. To lead entrepreneurial activities and understand concept of business, entrepreneurships and creativity in KITE.
